Landscape context influences the bee conservation value of wildflower plantings

These are the data associated with the paper. These data were used to analyze the bee community on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland and Virginia Beach. In the study, we analyzed the effects of semi-natural habitat in the landscape and wildflower planting on conserving bee communities. We found that wildflower plots alone did not have an effect. However, when considered within the context of the landscape, there was a range of semi-natural habitat in which wildflower plots increased bee abundance relative to control fields. Landscape effects were also detected for species richness. Contact Chris McCullough (ctmccull@gmail.com) for questions
