A variety of field and laboratory instrumentation were utilized to geotechnically investigate and characterize bivalve-sediment interactions for three different field sites. The three field sites are the Piankatank River in Virginia, the Northwest Arm of the Sydney Harbour in Nova Scotia, Canada, and the Rachel Carson Reserve in North Carolina. This dataset encompasses the raw and processed data needed to reproduce the results in the associated publications. This dataset was updated on 20200605 with additional data points in the 'Roundness and Sphericity Workbook.xlsx' file in the 'Laboratory Testing Data, Analyses and Results' folder, 'Vacuum Triaxial Summary Table.xlsx' file in the 'Laboratory Testing Data, Analyses and Results' folder, and 'QSBC Method for Friction Angle Workbook_PR_RCR.xlsx' file in the 'Field Survey Data' folder. The original dataset can be found at the following DOI, doi:10.7294/66gv-gy31.
