Dangerous Harbor Project - Lancaster County - Reel 260 - Estates, 1653-1850 - TIFFs 1-50

This dataset includes 50 TIFF files showing estate records from Lancaster County in Virginia. They were created in the process of documenting the management, transfer, division, disposal, etc. of estates of deceased residents in the county. These documents were collected in association with the Dangerous Harbor Project which used courthouse documents to identify escaped unfree laborers in the 17th century Chesapeake and the punishments associated with their escape.
