The effect of water salinity on air entrainment and surface foam evolution in breaking waves was studied in a laboratory breaking wave analog. This dataset contains the raw data extracted from the experiments. The results submitted for publication in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans (Manuscript#: 2019JC015337) show a distinct effect of salinity on subsurface bubbles, surface foam bubbles and whitecap area. Our findings are discussed in the light of bubble mediated droplets emission from breaking waves at the air-water interface.
